- PARIS AS A WHOLE
Paris is littered with great restaurants and cafés; many perfect for eating and people watching. There a several good places right outside the hotel, take your pick. There are too many good restaurants to choose from, so I have listed a few different areas, which are known for their good cafés:
- MONMARTE SQUARE
There are many indoor and outdoor cafés here; take you pick, just look at the menus each on has on display. It is difficult to pick a bad place; they all seem to be good!
- ILE ST. LOUIS
Take the little footbridge from the rear of the Notre Dame to Ile St-Louis, the smallest island on the River Seine. Walk down the main street, rue Saint Louis En L'Ile and check out the quaint little bistros, cafes and shops.
- MOULON ROUGE
Famous French nightclub immortalized by Toulouse-Lautrec. What a surprise - the show is even better than a Las Vegas extravaganza. Fabulous entertainment (up to 60 artists participate in the show), including the legendary cancan. The nightclub seats about 850 people, with tables on tiered levels. Enjoy a bottle of chilled champagne (included in the cover charge) during the show. Shows run nightly at 8:30pm and 11pm. Dinner show at 7pm. Expensive, but worth it. Call for reservations and cover charge info. Phone number is 53-09-82-82. Located in Montmartre - look for the giant windmill. Sidney?
